Getting to Know Who I Am

Hello, my name is Ellen and this is Surviving High School. The reason I chose to write my blog about high school is that a lot of people can relate. I am interested in writing this because I think it could help a lot of students. In the next three posts I will be writing about how to be a good student, how to maintain good relationships, and how to stay positive. I can relate to a lot of this because I went through a lot of challenges throughout my high school career. Everyone goes through their own challenges in high school but my hope in writing this is to try and help anyone I can to succeed. The most important thing I learned is keep your friends close. The people you keep close are the ones who will push you through the tough times. I am a shy person who had a small group in high school. I considered us the nerdy ones but we always had a good time and looked out for each other. What I want high schoolers to get out of my blog is that they can do anything. The best way to succeed in what you want most is to keep your supporters close and think of them in the end result. I know I would want to make my supporters proud of me. I hope you enjoy my blog and get useful information from it. I am excited to share my experience with you.

Make New Friends, But Keep the Old My guess is, now that you're in high school, your group has changed. It's not uncommon for people to drift apart once they get older. I certainly don't talk to the same people I used to. It may be because you are just different people now. It's not a bad thing to change who you talk to. I am going to give you a bit of advice on how to keep your friends but also make new ones.  How To Maintain Good Relationships I want to start off by letting you know how to maintain good relationships. I think to maintain good relationships with others is to just listen to what the other person is saying. Also, technology is great and innovative but can be taken the wrong way at times. An example would be how convenient texting is nowadays, but still just a regular phone call can serve the same purpose or even better.
